Home Communications believes the strength of our community lies in the education of our youth. Home Communications is a proud member of the NTCA- The Rural Broadband Association, a trade association that represents over 560 locally owned telephone companies, like ours, throughout rural America. Many NTCA member companies, like HCI, will be sending students from their communities to Washington, DC for the 2016 FRS Youth Tour. We are very excited to be offering this opportunity to you! This is our 4th year in providing this opportunity and previous attendees have had a great time attending and learning at this conference.
What is the FRS Youth Tour?
A four day, all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC
An opportunity to visit famous historical sites and amazing museums
A chance to meet other high school students from across rural America
A chance to learn more about the telecommunications industry
An opportunity to learn first-hand about the legislative and governmental processes.
Who is Eligible?
High School students, age 16 or 17 years old at the time of the Youth Tour
Students who receive service from HCI
If selected, HCI will pay all of your expenses to go to Washington, DC to attend the 2016 FRS Youth Tour (airfare included)
If selected, FRS will be in touch with you about what you will be doing once you arrive in Washington, what you should bring, what you should wear, what to expect once you arrive, etc.
